1980 -1997: Jan was employed by the Department of Justice as a state prosecutor in the Magistrate’s, Regional and High Court, Cape Town. He resigned in 1997 as Senior State Advocate.
1997 - 2005: Jan practised as an advocate at the Cape Bar, specialising in criminal and labour law.
2005 - 2016: During this time period, Jan has stepped down as member of the Cape Bar and has since worked in private practice as a labour law consultant.

Jan was admitted as an advocate of the High Court on 26 August 1981. During his career he successfully completed the Arbitration Skills Course (gaining this qualification on 13 October 2000), thereby qualifying for selection as an Arbitrator at the Arbitration Forum.
During the period that he practised as an advocate at the Cape Bar, Jan also sat as a Regional Court Magistrate in the Cape Town Regional Court for a period of 5 years on a contract basis.
Gerda is a seasoned and experienced professional in the Human Resources arena. She brings to our clients her expertise gained from 25 years’ experience in injury on duty matters as well as 12 years’ experience in labour law.

Francois is a specialist in organisational development, workflow improvement and process improvement. He has international experience from working in Europe, Africa (East Africa in particular) and the Middle East.
Francois was privileged to have been part of the team that received the 2001 P&O Nedlloyd Award (International) for Infrastructure Development. The award was presented for the work achieved at the Nalukolongo Railway Workshop in Kampala, Uganda
He has also started two Human Resource Departments from scratch and developed them to board-level status. In so doing, he has cultivated experience of developing junior staff into competent senior executives.
